Essex Trials and Jump Centre

We have obtained planning permission for a purpose built Trials and Jump Centre at Barrow Farm in Highwood, between Brentwood and Chelmsford in Essex. We are currently building a variety of different types of trial sections. These sections will cater for all abilities of rider and will be updated and varied regularly to ensure there is always a fresh challenge for our riders. We also provide runs of dirt jumps for you to enjoy. Hopefully, we may also include a wall-ride and foam pit in the future, if there is the call for it.

The Site

The site is approximately 3 acres and is bordered by woodland and farmland. We have a car park and a small administration building, including toilet and refreshment facilities. We also have bike hire, for newcomers to the two sports of Trials and Dirt-jumping.

For our Trials Riders,

we are aiming to provide six sections as follows: Beginners section, Natural logs section - big trees etc, Pipes section, rocks, balance beams and a large 'Street' section.

Dirt Jump Fans,

have three runs of jumps - beginners and two Intermediate runs and more runs on the way. There is a launch platform for each run  and, in time, we hope to include a wall ride and foam pit as the riders progress and become more adventurous!

Essex Bike Trial Club

The Centre also provides a competition venue for the Essex Bike Trial Club. We have organised three Trials for EBTC at Barrow Farm this year and, with these new facilities, we hope to also offer some small open trials competitions, particularly during the Summer months.
